As I walked out and down my few steps in the front of my house using my flashlight....there he was. Just sitting all curled up waiting for something good to eat. I gently stepped over him and took a picture....then took myself and my dog, Abby back into the house. Abby has been bitten twice....I certainly don't need a third bite.
I showed the snake respect and left it be.....hopefully by morning it will have found something to eat and be on its way.
I was kind of surprised as this is the first Rattler I have seen this year. I have seen three to four king snakes but this is the first Rattler.
